The Goldfinder XJ DPV is an evolution of the tremendously powerful XJS, well suited to both ocean technical diving and long range cave exploration. It has a host of highly advanced features, a 200m/650ft operational depth rating and a range of as much as 14km.
Features of the Goldfinder XJ include:
- The Goldfinder XJ scooter is fully compatible with the ERON D-1 Dashboard and SINAPSI advanced underwater navigation nose.
- It also connects fully, the battery, motor and ERON, with the Calpyso Desktop and Mobile apps.
- It has a clear, bright nine LED battery gauge, battery and motor protection system, and bypass for emergency use.
- Proplock propeller system allows easy underwater removal of the carbon fiber propeller in the event it becomes fouled with line and needs to be freed or the shaft inspected.
- Fully adjustable speed control and a soft start system allow better control in confined areas
- Two position trigger, allowing for either variable speed control, or instant switch to full speed if needed.
- Supplied complete with charger, carry handle, tow leash, and cleaning and lubrication kit.
- Supplied with all ballast needed to balance the unit in both fresh and salt water.
Runtime and range :
Runtime is quoted assuming a 70kg diver in good horizontal trim using double 12 liter tanks and a drysuit. Conditions being no current and in salt water, with top speed delivered on a fully charged battery.

It should be noted that the 940Wh Li-on battery is not suitable for air transport, but for traveling divers this DPV can be very quickly converted to use a Nimh ( nickel metal hydride ) battery that is safe and accepted for air travel. Nautilus Concept and Ergonomic Improvements
Years of research and development combined with multiple cutting-edge technical elements have resulted in a concept now known as the Nautilus. Changes to the design and materials of the propeller, the brackets supporting the shroud, and the nosecone have radically improved the performance of this Suex DPV, generating increased propulsive thrust, speed, range, stability and silence, together guaranteeing an unprecedented diving experience.
Additional to the performance changes, the Goldfinder XJ range has a new double handle nose cone design which improves in and out of water handling, an adjustable double driving handle which increases comfort, and revised tow cord adjustment points. Right and Left driving handles also remain available for those who prefer them.

The Standard Suex Warranty Terms
Each SCOOTER is factory tested underwater and only marketed when all necessary tests are passed, including
waterproof tests. In the event of flooding (meaning the liquid in which the SCOOTER was submerged enters the
watertight case) warranty validity is at the discretion of SUEX. Transport and packaging fees to or from the
SUEX offices from non-EU countries shall be borne by the purchaser. Being intended for professional use only,
the product and its components (except the batteries for which specific warranty condition are explained into
the battery user’s manual) are covered against all manufacturing defects for a period of 2 years (1 year if for
professional use) from the date of purchase proven by a sales document. The following exclusion for the
warranty applies:
- Non-conform use i.e. use other than that foreseen or illustrated in the manual;
- Negligence, attempts to repair or modify the SCOOTER by personnel not expressly authorized by SUEX that jeopardize correct operations or prevent adequate checks and tests to meet repair needs under the warranty;
- Temporarily rented products;
- Scratches or damages to any surface, due to normal product use by the consumer;
- Normal wear or deterioration;
- Damages due to transport, falls or accidents.
- Use of non-original or not SUEX approved spare parts.
- Use genuine Suex spare parts only. The use of non-original or not-approved by Suex parts voids warranty and
waives Suex for any damage/loss consequent to the use of the Suex scooter with non-original spare parts not
approved by Suex.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY: SUEX DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES and
assumes no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage suffered by any person as result of the use or
misuse of the Products with non-original parts or not approved by Suex such as BATTERIES. SUEX assumes or
undertakes NO LIABILITY for any loss or damage suffered as result of the use, misuse or reliance on the
Products with non-original parts not-approved by Suex. Have the Suex SCOOTER serviced by Authorized Suex
Service Centers ONLY.
The BATTERIES supplied with Suex Scooters are tested in the factory before delivery to the customer. The
original Suex batteries are guaranteed for a period of two years (1 year if for professional use) against
manufacturing defects, starting from the purchase confirmed by the sales documentation. The following
circumstances constitute exclusion from the guarantee:
- Defects due to damage, incorrect use, accidents, tampering, negligence or neglect maintenance, alterations or repairs carried out by unauthorized persons such as to impair correct functionality or prevent adequate verification and testing by the SUEX assistance service during the request for warranty intervention.
- Defects or damages resulting from using the product in conditions other than those described in the manual.
- Defects or damages deriving from incorrect or missed checks, operations, maintenance, installations,adaptations, unauthorized applications, or from any other alteration or modification of any kind.
- Breakage or damage to cables or connections if not directly due to defects in materials or workmanship.
- Transport damage, falls or accidents.
- Defects or damage due to humidity, liquids, or foreign bodies placed inside the battery pack or which have oxidized any part of the BATTERY.
- Decrease in BATTERY capacity and performance caused by the use of the same.
- Use only original Suex components. The use of non-original or non-Suex approved components voids Suex’
warranty

WHO CAN JOIN THE 5FY PROGRAM?
Any SUEX DPV owner as long as the DPV has been purchased as end-user item (i.e. without the use of a VAT number) and not as a Company, a self-employed person or a person using the DPV for professional reasons.
WHAT ITEMS ARE COVERED BY THE 5FY PROGRAM?
The program is exclusively applicable to DPV bought from January 1st 2022 onwards for private use and non-professional use and it covers the manufacturing faults on the following items:
Plastic and aluminum bodies (scratches and bumps excluded)
Prop lock propeller and knob
Motor
Electronics (batteries excluded)
HOW TO JOIN THE 5FY PROGRAM?
Record your data as a consumer filling in the form you’ll find at the following link https://www.suex.it/en/reserved-area/
Record your DPV details and activate the product warranty through the following actions: click on the following link https://www.suex.it/en/reserved-area/add-your-suex/ choose the DPV model among the listed ones, write your DPV serial number, attach the original copy of the purchasing document. Suex will cross check the correctness and the validity of the entered data.
Make the maintenances operations mandatorily requested by the 5FY program, i.e.:
WITHIN 2 YEARS FROM THE DPV DATE OF PURCHASE:
S2 MAINTENANCE SERVICE if the DPV has been used up to 399 hours
S3 MAINTENANCE SERVICE if the DPV has been used for 400 hours or more

THE 5FY SERVICE CENTER
The premium service technician has the responsibility to check the customer and product data registrations and then to proceed with the online mandatory maintenance registration (online service booklet). Furthermore it will have to cross check the correctness of the product serial number in the system. In case the details recorded by the consumer are not correct, it will not be possible to complete the registration. In case the details supplied by the customer are correct the service center may proceed with the needed steps to prepare the maintenance operations, i.e.:
Cross check of the warranty terms (suggested by the system if available)
Confirm the kind of DPV use (private and non-professional)
Do the needed maintenance operations
Enter the whole service information relevant to the maintenance level done and confirm the extension warranty terms (suggested by the system)
Upload the maintenance invoice or charging document
Upload of the screenshot taken from the Calypso App reporting the motor hours of usage. NOTICE: the screenshot taken from the Calypso App will have to show the same date as the date on the invoice done for the maintenance. Both documents will have to be viewable as complete documents and showing exactly the same date. Differently the documents will not be considered valid and the warranty extension program not implementable.
