Suex Calypso is an app available for Android and iOS devices. It forms a key element of the Suex DRIVE ( Diver Remote Information View ) system that is built around the DPV itself, the Eron D-1 Dashboard, and optionally the Sinapsi and Seika navigation tools.
For every Suex DPV owner, Calypso can be used to read the total hours of use the DPV has had in order to make decisions about maintenance, and if desired, change the speed of acceleration of the motor on start up to accommodate for example diving in sensitive environments. For those using Li-ion battery packs, it allows you to check the state of charge of the battery pre-dive and monitor it's overall health. This app is also how firmware updates are performed on Li-ion batteries.
In conjunction with the Goldfinder XJ-XK range of DPVs or previous XJS and XK models, and combined with the other elements of the Drive System, the Eron Dasboard, Sinapsi nose, and Seika Buoy, it provides a far more sophisticated range of capabilities.
Pre-Dive it allows very detailed planning of outward and return paths between waypoints. Post Dive the user can download all dive data, the depth, time, temperature, Li-ion battery information post dive and how the battery behaved during the it. Recorded paths can be exported in kml or csv formats, and new paths for future use can be created using markers created during the dive. Clearly these are powerful tools for survey and exploration level diving.
