They announced a five-year “5 For You” warranty program on their DPVs.
For a while, we were wondering how this would actually be applied—until we got clarification straight from the CEO, Alessandro Fenu, at the ADEX 2023 show.
"We would like to invite you to come to Italy."
Acceptance was a given.
But the purpose? Well, if Suex were to commit to a warranty as long as five years, then a maintenance program needed to be in place—one that ensured Distributors were factory trained and certified as capable of performing the required annual servicing to support it.
Some of the training could be done online, but sometimes you just have to get hands-on with the experts.
And so it was that Dave and Jeff Ross boarded the long flight to Venice last October. They were happily joined as co-students by Phil Hsieh of Dark Tide in Taiwan, and Sam and Ashley from Living Group—so we all shared the same jetlag.
Our first three days at the factory were spent tearing apart VRs, XJs, and XKs.
We received excellent guidance, experience, and wisdom from our two Suex trainers—Clemenzo Schutzenhofer and Marco Constantini—not to mention their outstanding hospitality.
The result: Tech Asia is now a Level S3 5 For You Service Center.
What does that mean for you as a DPV owner?

No other manufacturer backs their product or their technicians to this extent.
Our time at the factory was equally fun and insightful. Located in Treviso, just outside Venice, the area is not only picturesque but also a major manufacturing hub in Italy.
All parts are made in surrounding plants, with Quality Assurance performed on arrival at Suex before assembly. Everything—from our familiar recreational and technical scooters to military-grade machines with incredible capabilities—is built by hand at the facility and individually tested before shipping.

Suex is growing fast, and the factory's setup and their commitment to the distributor network reflect a truly professional approach. All of this should inspire real confidence—when you add one of their DPVs to your dive locker, you’re investing in the best.

The people are amazing. Dave the owner is very responsive via WhatsApp and is able to address all my concerns before choosing to do my course with Tech Asia. Logistics were also smooth with them. Sam is a strict instructor who gives very thorough pre-dive and post-dive briefings with useful, personalised directions on what to work on. After the first two dives of my AN/Helitrox course, he makes sure everyone takes up certain roles (eg deco captain) during dives to ensure we learn by leading. I really liked this “letting students lead” approach as it made me confident that I’ll able to take up the same responsibilities if I were to dive with other tech divers elsewhere. Tim is a funny guy who gave great instruction during my DPV course. He is also very helpful to teach me how to configure my newly bought regs
Location wise, the dive shop is 5-10mins boat ride for all my dives during my stay, making dives very comfortable without post-dive colds and seasickness — I didnt even need to bring my windbreaker and towel for the trip when I knew that the dive sites are thattt close.
As a halcyon distributor, the rental equipments are also halcyon and in great working condition.
Most of my dives were in 1-2 customers per group, with 3 customers during one of my dives. The small group really enhanced my dive experience

Their service was amazing from the arrangements for transfer by Dave Ross and his staff, everything was smooth and stress free.
My instructor was Sam Collett and he was one of the best instructors I ever had. He advocates for a very hands on and practical training which is the best and fastest way to learn.
He is highly experienced and knowledgable so he can always provide suggestions and alternatives for ways that skills can be done.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Tech Asia and will definitely return for further more advanced tech courses.
