PADI SIDEMOUNT DIVER Learn Sidemount Diver techniques

The PADI Sidemount Diver Course with Tech Asia

The PADI Sidemount course introduces this increasingly popular configuration for diving solely at the recreational level. It teaches you about configuring and rigging equipment so that it works well for you, plus proper dive technique and gas management considerations for diving with sidemount.

The course includes one confined water and three open water dives. It takes 2-3 days to complete depending on the prior exposure you have already with sidemount configurations.

Prerequisites, Duration and Scope of the Course

Any certified diver may take this course, diving will then be within the limits of their previous certification and not deeper than 30m/100ft. The course can be completed in two days, however if you have no prior exposure to sidemount equipment at all, an extra day is worth while since equipment explanation, adjustment and set up will take time if done properly.

The course includes a self study portion, knowledge development, practical work, one confined and three training dives.

Equipment and what is Included

Besides properly rigged tanks, if you don't have your own equipment we will provide regulators and a sidemount harness and BCD. You will need your own personal diving equipment for the course.

The PADI Tec Sidemount manual is the required manual for this course. You can find complete details of what is included in all PADI courses on the Overview page and course prices here.
